Also known as
Siberian ginseng, Eleutherococcus senticosus
Eleuthero, also known as Siberian ginseng is a close relative of the true Panax ginseng, belonging to the same family but of a different genus. Eleuthero has been claimed to have similar effects as Panax ginseng, touted as an adaptogen, and shows promise in increasing energy levels, protecting against fatigue, enhancing learning & memory, reducing inflammation, strengthening the immune system, & improving mood.
Eleuthero functions more as an endurance enhancer & para-sympathetic (protective) adaptogen than a sympathetic (stimulatory) adaptogen, increasing endorphin levels in the blood while reducing adrenaline secretion, similar to Schizandra berry.
Full spectrum extract of Eleuthero, possessing 1.2% total Eleutheroside content.
Recommended amount per dose is 500-2000 mg, or a single to four full size '00' capsules.
Eleuthero is a well rounded adaptogen, nourishing the body & optimizing its functions, acting not as a stimulant, but as a tonic. Eleuthero can not be overused and is considered a mild, beneficial ally to add to ones daily tea.
Do not consume without knowing an accurate dosage. A milligram scale is highly recommended.
