Also known as
Bromelain, Pineapple extract, Pineapple proteolytic enzyme
Bromelain is a sulfhydryl protease enzyme present in pineapple that is responsible for the metabolism of proteins, fibers, and even extracellular matrix molecules which hold cells together. These actions make bromelain an excellent tool for tenderizing meat and other foods, and as a powerful digestive aid.
Standardized extract of Ananas comosus (Pineapple), totaling a 100,000 u/g or 200 GDU/g bromelain content.
Recommended amount per dose is 500-2000 mg, or a single to four full size '00' capsules.
Bromelain contains proteolytic enzymes which help digest protein, freeing amino acids from their protein chains. This enzymatic activity also can reduce inflammation, support the immune system, and facilitate detoxification.
Do not consume without knowing an accurate dosage. A milligram scale is highly recommended.
