The powder has a taste reminiscent of chocolate, and blends well with cocoa, cordyceps, mucuna, fo-ti, tribulus, ashwagandha, guarana & other nutty/starchy tasting herbs. Rehmannia also makes a great addition to the 'Food of the Gods', 'Mayan Chocolate' or 'Rasayana of the Lion' formulations. Recommended dosage 4-12 grams.
Rehmannia comes in two forms, raw & cooked. The raw form is considered cooler in action and is a much stronger anti-inflammatory agent & is used in cases of hot flashes, stress, & anger. The cooked version is considered warmer and is better suited for reducing anxiety by nourishing the bases upon which our courage, strength, & will derive. Rehmannia nourishes both Kidney Yin and Yang,, however the raw could be said to be better at improving the functions of the emotional & defensive systems, while the cooked could be said to be more in tune with enhancing our physical & expressive natures.
