Introduction
Lion's mane is an edible and medicinal mushroom belonging to the tooth fungus group, native to North America, Europe and Asia. The mushroom is rich in polysaccharides, both those found in other mushrooms as well as those unique to Lion's mane, these compounds in particular are believed to convey the neuroregenerative benefits of the mushroom.

Summary
Lion's mane is a popular medicinal mushroom, being used both as a food and as a health supplement. The most notable properties of the mushroom are enhancement of Nerve Growth Factor, a driving causative marker for neural pathway development which has been linked to learning and the repair of damaged neural networks.
