Introduction
Lutein is a bright yellow to orange colored phytochemical of the carotene class. Lutein has broad range antioxidant properties, and is most linked with eyesight and general eye health.

Supplement data
Origin: China
20% Lutein

Use
Recommended amount per dose is 30-150 mg per day for normal supplementation. Do not consume without an accurate mg scale.

Summary
Lutein is a dietary antioxidant belonging to the carotene family. While lutein is a carotenoid, like beta-carotene, it is not a precursor for vitamin A, and should not be treated as such. Rather, lutein itself is supportive to the eyes, and is believed to block blue light from reaching the inner retina, helping protect the eye from light-induced oxidative damage.

Precautions
Do not consume without knowing an accurate dosage. A milligram scale is highly recommended.
