Vitamin E is an essential vitamin and fat soluble antioxidant found in many foods. It is not synthesized by the human body, and must be derived through food. Vitamin E interrupts the spread of reactive oxygen species that pass through biological membranes and fatty tissue. Vitamin E is found abundantly in seeds, nuts, avocados, and their oils.
Vitamin E 50% mixed tocopherols
Recommended amount per dose is 25-100 mg per day for normal supplementation. 100-500 mg per day can be used for cases of severe deficiency. Do not consume without an accurate mg scale.
Vitamin E plays an important role as a fat soluble vitamin the human body, working ubiquitously as an antioxidant, protecting the body and brain from oxidative stress and reactive oxygen species. Deficiency is rare, and most do not need to supplement, however for those who are known to be lacking, or are prone for oxidative stress, additional supplementation may be justified.
Do not consume without knowing an accurate dosage. A milligram scale is highly recommended.
