Introduction
Griffonia simplicifolia is a plant from the leguminous bean & seed producing family known as Fabaceae, host to many other powerful plants such as Mucuna pruriens, of which the two share the rare amino acid constituent, 5-htp, which is the amino acid precursor for serotonin.

Use
Recommended amount per dose is 50-100 mg, not exceeding 500 mg per day. Absorption of 5-htp is greatly enhanced on an empty stomach when consumed with green tea, carob, or cacao.

Precautions

Do not take if you also take SSRI, MAOI, or TCA type medicines.
