Tarragon is an exotic spice and medicinal herb from the family Asteraceae, home to such exotic herbs as mugwort, wormwood, and even the majestic sunflower. Tarragon has a complex, anise like taste, and is widespread in the wild across much of Eurasia and North America, and is cultivated for culinary and medicinal purposes.

Tarragon can be added to tea, culinary dishes, and even smoked as a flavor enhancer and carrier of aromatics. Recommended dosage is a sprinkle in food, and a teaspoon in tea.
While tarragon has a history of use as a medicinal, its common use is mostly culinary, and only a small amount is needed to impart a strong taste. We find tarragon to make an excellent addition to herbal based smoke blends, providing an aromatic kick that can soothe the lungs and clear the senses.
