Introduction
Turnera diffusa, known as damiana, is a shrub native to southwestern Texas in the United States, Central America, Mexico, South America, and the Caribbean. It belongs to the family Passifloraceae. It has traditionally been smoked as an herbal cigarette or consumed as a tea for its aphrodisiac properties.
