N -nornuciferine, O-nornuciferine, nuciferine, and roemerine are the 4 main aporphine alkaloids responsible for the pharmacological properties of the plant. Several flavonoids are located in the leaves and stamens; the stamens contain kaempferol and 7 of its glycosides.
Cultivated without chemicals
Recommended 1-5 grams simmered in hot water for 3-5 minutes. Tinctures can be extremely powerful if made correctly. This herb also makes an effective smoke.
The Sacred Lotus has multiple actions, mainly of a relaxing sedative kind, but also has reported use as an aphrodisiac, anti-addiction aid, & to offset the anxiety produced by stimulants. It has a very mystical quality when smoked in large amounts, seeming to both relax & engage one in their activities.
