Standardized extract of white peony root, specified to a 50% concentration of paeoniflorin.
Paeoniflorin is a major bioactive ingredient isolated from white peonies, a sweet smelling flower whose roots are used in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Paeoniflorin has activity as an analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antimutagenic, antipyretic, anti-anxiety, and antihistamine. Additionally, paeoniflorin has cardioprotective, neuroprotective, cognition supportive, and anti-aging effects. Paeoniflorin has also been shown to encourage the conversion of testosterone to estrogen.
Recommended amount per dose is 500-1000 mg, or 1-2 full size '00' capsules. Best taken with a small amount of food for proper absorption.
