Biotin is a vitamin belonging to the B complex family. It can be synthesized by the body, but is commonly derived from food, where it is found in mushrooms, yeast, liver, legumes, seeds, and eggs. Deficiencies are rare, but do happen and can lead to a gradual deterioration of one's health. To prevent such issues, cereal grains are often reinforced with additional Biotin, while the vitamin is also commonly taken as a dietary supplement.
Biotin is responsible for energy metabolism and is linked with the healthy growth of hair, skin, and nails.

Recommended amount per dose is 5-25 mg per day for normal supplementation. Do not consume without an accurate mg scale.
